Do the Nittos run narrow? 305 section is 2 sizes out of the normal range of a 10 inch isnt it? 295s being the max, 285s being ideal?
They do typically run on the narrow side. The 305 on a 10" will bulge, as I've seen it before, but it's not too bad. It's definitely on the smaller side of being optimal. I run my 305 DR's on an 11" wheel, which is optimal.

On my previous 2014 GT, I ran 19x10 Forgestar F14's with the 305/35/19 NT05R, and still was able to cut a low 1.6 60' on them at the track.

Running the Nitto 305/35/19 NT05 on 19x10's.... minimal bulge if any. Look great under car. Handling seems to be there. Of course not putting down FI power, but so far love the DR's on the street.

I also get that float feeling when WOT at low speeds. Seems to leave after 2nd gear.

Im glad I'm not the only one. I wonder if it has to do with sidewall flex on certain tire/wheel combos?

Quite possible. With the P-Zeros even NA I had very little to no traction in 1st or 2nd gear and never felt that "float". Now with the DR's and the fact that I do hook I feel the float you described.

Its an interesting feeling. I myself didn't notice it until adding power. My tires stayed the same before and after the adder. I installed DSS 800s and in doing so had to essentially remove alot of linkage from each rear knuckle. For a moment, I thought this feeling was a result.
