Hey gang,

I'm in negotiations to buy a 2015 Ecoboost premium coupe this week...

True MSRP is $32,485...options are auto trans...and 20'"wheels...

Currently I'm at $28,817 before tax...breakdown is listed as $2,667 discount...and $1,000 of rebates...for a total discount of $3,667...

I do not have a X plan certificate...doesn't seem to matter...wish I had A&Z plan eligibility...

I contacted Ford Marketing twice today for see if I could entice them to generate a $750 private offer certificate...but currently no luck...I know occasionally they send out these certificates randomly when you order product brochures online...I though I would try to stack the additional $750 on the rebate side of the transaction...

My goal is to pay closer to $28,000...I live in Houston...and it's a very competitive market...there are 27 Ford dealerships within a 50 mile radius from my residence...several of the dealerships have more than 100 Mustangs on the ground!!

So...what does everyone think...

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks!

:D

It think it depends on how your getting the $1000 in rebates now, some aren't stackable, 500 from the switch and ???

My sales proposal just indicates a bulk sum of a $1,000 total customer rebate(s)...no breakdown of the actual program...or programs??

That's a great price without the rebates. That is below x-plan, I believe.

I think the deal is a great one. You will be hard pressed to find one better. At least in my opinion.

Most likely programs, but I do agree w/ todd, I believe that's a great price and seems to be lower then what I expect to get off. Alot of dealership in socal are "wanting" to add extra adm fee's luckily I have x plan.

The dealership is not requiring that I purchase any add-ons...

Now...I'm trying obtain a #34942 $750 private cash certificate...I requested brochures online last week...I understand the certificates are random in nature...and sometimes accompany the brochures...

This is the first new Ford I've ever purchased...so I'm not in the Ford marketing database...

The $1000 rebate is actually two $500s stacked. One is the nationwide "The Switch" program and the other is a Houston "Auto-Show" rebate. Both expire 2/2 so jump on them fast. Also you may want to think about join the MCA to get x-plan pricing.

Thanks for the info...I'm very close to achieving my price target...the dealership has been extremely accommodating during the negotiation process...

I've worked out a bit more discount...I'm very close to my original goal...
