Some additional tells...

- Built for an order/dealer in Michigan

- It's 2020, the first year of 6G, GT500 production

- No EPA information

- No HP information

So....maybe a prototype or test car, like a PP, TT or even VP car?

Is there access to the chassis # on the dash?

PP. Pilot Production. Final prototyping.

TT. Tooling Tryout. Production testing.

VP. Variable Prototype. Show and Demo.

Dealer doesn’t “know” …. It’s a legit window sticker.

What's a PP car then?

my research (limited) shows quite a few PP car owners out there. Doesn t look like it s adds any value (at this point in history). Maybe even some concerned with who used them for what and quality of early builds as a whole. Thanks. Learned some new things today!

Some definitions I'll be adding to the Mach 1 Registry.

VP - Vehicle Prototype, aka Variable Prototype, aka Validation Prototype. Vehicle is never issued a VIN. Typically there are just one or two produced prior to being destroyed under strict Ford supervision. Ford’s Jim Owens stated in one video there were two, 6G VP Mach 1s built. Cars are assembled by hand, with hand-built components. Can sometimes be nothing more than a shell of a car. A bit more than a concept, a vehicle which should later go into production. A critical, late-stage development platform used by Ford engineers to test and validate the structural, mechanical, and safety components of a vehicle before it moves into full production.

TT- Tooling Tryouts, aka Technical Tool build, aka Tooling Trial build. Components have been tooled by machines, but they have not been finalized and signed-off on yet. Typically these vehicles are not given to the press and are driven internally by Ford executives. TTs are to verify that all the tooling processes work for the new model. A Ford tooling tryout chassis is a pre-production frame used to test and validate stamping dies, welding jigs, and assembly processes before full-scale manufacturing. It ensures structural integrity, component fitment, and manufacturing accuracy for new or re-designed Ford models. Some TT chassis are owned by 6G Members.

PP - Pilot Production build, aka Production Prove out. The second build in the assembly plant, and generally the first cars Ford feels can be sold. This is a continued assessment of the process capability. A Ford Pilot Production chassis refers to a hand-assembled, pre-production frame used to test manufacturing procedures, validate engineering designs, and identify necessary adjustments before mass production begins. These "pilot cars" are constructed at a pilot plant using initial metal stampings to ensure parts fit together properly, acting as a crucial bridge between prototype design and final assembly. Some PP chassis are owned by 6G Members.

MP - Mass Production. There is a distinct difference between Ford MP1 (Mass Production 1) and MP2 (Mass Production 2). MP1 signifies the initial, often slower, production run to test assembly, while MP2 occurs after, bringing the production line up to full speed and quality approval for customer delivery. MP1, aka Job 1, is used for initial builds which can be sold. Often for dealer demos or testing. A pause usually occurs after MP1 for review and fixes before starting MP2. MP2, aka Job 2, typically starts after a Quality Control OK To Buy (OKTB) milestone is achieved, ensuring all previous issues identified in MP1 are resolved before mass customer shipments begin. In summary, MP1 is the "pilot" phase of actual production, and MP2 is the full-speed, verified production phase.

That was a prototype it wasn’t built on a line.

I wouldn't pay top price for any preproduction builds. Even though PP builds are "sellable" and are supposed to be "design frozen" until Job-1, that's not always the case and why Ford keeps most of them from actually reaching the general public. Also, some of the TT-Build and PP-Build vehicles live a hard life in the hands of numerous test drivers and it's not unusual for powertrains to be torn down for various evaluations.
