Obviously it was sent from an idiot. The 2016 GT350 is not a one of 137... That's a 2015.

OK, so they made 150 of these 2015s or whatever. Is anyone here really buying one now and willing to wait 40 or 50 years to see if their speculative investment pays off. $150,000 invested now in reasonable financial instruments today will return enormous sums of cash in that time frame. Do the people asking for these ridiculous sums of money really think that someone who has 150 large right now for a toy is going to be suckered this way. Unbelievable!

A 2015 R, of which the there are only 37, may appreciate to a few hundred grand over the next many decades. But you have to take into account inflation and storage costs, and the fact that it needs to be a perfect example (barely driven, flawless condition) to actually get there.

I personally wouldn't take that investment because you can do something with compound interest over that amount of time and have better returns. But if I had millions of dollars and an existing car collection and wanted to have something exclusive and pretty to look at, yep, I'd buy it.

So... average person, hell no. Mega-rich, yep.

These transfer companies have been at this for a while. One of them sent every Ford dealer in the nation an add to buy their GT350s. They are just trying to be the middlemen and make money by pushing paper.

Didn't click until that new thread was posted.

You should reply to the email and tell him thanks, but you can buy from Manny in Las Vegas direct if you wanted to be raped.

Well, I'm willing to bet the '15 R buyers, most of whom bought at MSRP, will be able to at least double their money in three years. In fact, I know someone who is thinking just that way.

Sunbelt used to call me weekly trying to find/sell vehicles for the dealership I work for. I started telling them to take me off their phone list and when that didn't work, I simply started hanging up on them. Similar brokers have called offering me $5K over MSRP for regular GT350's.

How did you get yours if you don't mind me asking? Long standing customer or ford VIP?
