For those into movies, in Grand Prix, James Garner drives an original GT350H.

Hertz "Shelby" (not really) GT-H; they used to call it the fun collection. I had one on one trip to Orlando. It was obviously a lot more fun than your average president's club aisle ecoboost convertible but still just an automatic GT with some doodads. However, it was plastered with Hertz badges front, back, wheels, windshield... you get the picture. It screamed "look at this rental car!". I used to rent the ZHZ vettes a lot a career ago and they were a lot more subtle and very reasonable price.

For the comments on tranny, I'm 99% certain Hertz does not rent any manual transmission vehicles in the US; they do in the Caribbean though if you want a roller skate or pickup truck.

I rent a lot from Hertz, so I've rented some neat stuff with them in some limited locations. I'm more of a fan of the luxury cars/SUVs when I can get them, but they do have some Porsches and Nissan GT-R; I'm yet to be able to secure the GTR... that would be neat.

They call it the adrenaline collection now. Rented a Camaro SS on a recent work trip. Not much different than a regular SS except it was in the Hertz color scheme (black and yellow stripes) and had Hertz badging all over it, like you mentioned.

I’m with you though, I prefer the more comfortable rides when I rent cars on work trips. But it’s fun to get rent a fun car every now and then, especially since that’s what I’m used to.

I have yet to see a manual rental, at least at Hertz and National, here in the US.

Shelby sold Hertz 1,000 cars in 1966, kinda kept them (Shelby) in business that year! Differant colors Avail. SO over the years, 1985, 2005, 2006, 2014, 2016, They made limited #s that were sold to Hertz. in 2022 the GT500H they only made 25 Total cars. 900+ HP 19-Coups, and 6-Converts that were white and gold striped. Just FYI. Here is a pic of My 2, the
