I don’t spend much time at the rental car facility at ORD (my home airport) but the only ones I’ve seen in the wild here are the ones that were bought when they were retired from the Hertz fleet. I did see a GT500-H at ATL. Was a little over my company’s budget to rent for the week LOL.

I love the backstory. Thanks for the information. But I still say a 5.0 should not be called a Shelby. Almost as bad as calling a 5.0 at Hennessey to me.

so I guess my initial question still exists. How is a 5.0 a Shelby. Maybe it was a deal between Shelby and Hertz?

Also, 98%(don’t know why I chose that number!)Shelby American Mustangs begin life as a 5.0 Mustang. So it depends on if you are talking of a Ford Racing/SVT/Ford PerformanceShelby Product or a Shelby American Shelby Product. Question is , which one do you feel is a true Shelby!?

Agreed....and they say no haggle.
As @WDPro pointed out, the paint matching indicates it's not as perfect as they wish to present it to be. I'd be surprised if you ask for a maintenance and repair history, they'd produce one. If they did, I'd be surprised if it was full disclosure. With their internal repair systems they can hide such negatives from CarFax, etc.

didn t think they made them anymore, seen a few older ones and they can bring big dollars. 100K on this one, not me. Rent it for the week and go to the track which I m sure these cars have seen in one form or the other.
