What fuse controls all the center stack stuff? Or did something else happen?

The start/stop button and the USB port and power outlet at the bottom work. Aside from that, every single knob, toggle switch, button and control in this photo all stopped working at the same time. I can control the radio from the steering wheel but not from any of these controls, and I've lost climate control ability to turn the air conditioner or heat on. I assume a fuse or relay blew, but looking at my owners manual reveals dozens of generically labeled fuses (body control modules, powertrain controls, gateway modules, etc) as possible contenders with none labeled with a specific identity that I would recognize as the probable guilty fuse.

Can anyone diagnose what might have happened, or point me to a likely suspect fuse/relay to check?

I guess I'll try to start you off.
Based on the little information you have provided I'm going to speculate your problem isn't a fuse. My WAG is that you have lost a ground somewhere.
I'd ask if the car is a DD or one that sits for periods of time? I'd also ask where it lives? For example an old barn or outdoors near woods are the kinds of places that have mice and mice love to make nests and chew on wiring.
My suggestion to you is to get a Factory Service Manual with electrical diagrams and study it. I did a quick look through of mine and there are a couple dozen pages that could have useful information.
Good luck.

Another option, start pulling fuses. Passenger side as well as under the hood. Anything even remotely close in description.

I am 100% certain someone has shared the Owner Manual on here, and I know mine gives some pretty good descriptions of what they are because I pulled the fuse for my center stack for some testing.

Daily driver living in suburban Florida. I don't have a factory service manual and desperately hope that I don't end up having to chase a random ground somewhere.... :(

Yeah it's down to that probably I'll just start pulling fuses. I do hope it's not something like a bad ground which could take forever to find. Can you recollect what fuse you pulled for your center stack? Like I posted, my owners manual lists all the fuses and relays, but none with a name that obviously matches what I think I am looking for.

Do the buttons still light up with the headlights at night?

I'd share my fuse documentation, but I learned that the 2015-2017 is different in some areas than mine. Surely, and hopefully a google search can help you with an image of the appropriate fuse arrangement for your car.

No idea lol...there is a ground next to the passenger fuse panel, but yeah chasing those things sucks. I've done it more than once.

My owners manual has the image and all the fuses listed, but none are named what I think would match this problem.

I read of a similar issue on a F-150 forum and a couple folks mentioned having to change some sort of module. Hope you don't have to go that route though.

When I quick scanned the wiring diagrams all I remember seeing was the body control module but there are probably others. In the OP's picture his screen is on which indicates that the APIM is at least partially working. Because of that I'm kind of surprised he doesn't have radio controls.
I'd be curious if he has hooked up a scan tool looking for codes or communications errors.
I'd still be surprised if the problem is a single fuse but it's certainly the first thing to be checked. I'd probably break out a DVOM rather than fighting all those tiny fuses out of that tight space. And I'd definitely get a scan tool (not just a code reader) or Forscan involved.

Sounds like there’s an APIM glitch. It happens, kinda like a Windows computer glitching and you have to do a system reboot.

This is on the interweb and works with many Ford products of all different years. I’ve had to do it in the past with a similar “flatline” of the stupid SYNC/APIM system.

To reboot the APIM/SYNC system:
Hold the main SYNC power button (NOT the HVAC power button) and the next track (seek >) button on the center console interface at the same time for about 5 seconds or until the screen goes black. The APIM will reboot, and the system will restart.

Hopefully that works for you.

I was so hoping this would work, but no.... I'll start pulling fuses today and hope that's what my problem is.
