Retired aircraft mechanic. Started in 1984 working at a Cessna dealership. Cool job, no money. Went on to work for Butler Aviation for 4 years. Again, cool job, better money but still not right. Finally ended up working outstation with UPS Airline. Worked there for 33 years @ BWI and TYS, lots of certs in engine runs, taxi, CAT on 727 & DC8 before they retired those, then 757, 767, A300, MD11, little bit of 747. Outstation maintenance means you do everything, out on the flight line. Anything needed to get that airplane flying again that night. Retired in 2022 at 59.5.

Lots of screwups along the way, divorced in 2001 and never remarried. Got a great long-termer now, tho. Being a mechanic was one thing I was always good at. Built a Factory 5 427 "Cobra".

Good times. Keep your house clean, pay your bills, dont spend what you dont have. Keep an eye on your neighbors. Dont be an asshole.

6 months out of the year, I do whatever I want, the other 6 months I work for the government. Additionally, I own real estate and trade stocks, and will usually dabble in anything involving passive income. I like CD's if the interest rates are good because it's free money. I also teach people things that there's a market for whether it's to play instruments or firearms tactics, etc. The biggest thing for me is my time.

as for the modding, I got rid of my 03 cobra for my 23 M1 because it really just Became a chore to drive and no fun, breaking half shafts, the spec stage 3+ clutch in traffic, …those seats….
been debating about doing exhaust and a procharger but not sure I want to go back down that rabbit hole.

Rental car detailer. Pays the bills and not much more. I'm sure lots of members here buy open box or x% discount from the major Mustang parts vendors as I do. No kids or wife. Do a lot of the mod work myself without much hands on experience or training beyond being my dad's gofer when he was fixing/maintaining the family cars. He once asked me why didn't you just buy the car you wanted? I don't have the $100K minimum for a Saleen Black Label or GT350R, and I'd probably still do mods to those cars anyway.

Restoration ,paint and fabrication. I manage body & fab side and on the floor. Building muscle cars and antiques. I don't make a lot compared to a lot on this forum but I have the skills to take a pile of rusted junk and make it better than new. So it saves me a ton of money with my hobbies.
