I would have to take another look to compare - but I suspect that’s to do with the cats / GPF’s on our euro cars ?

This is exactly why I never ever want to see the underside of my car. My PTSD from my ex wife is bad enough without adding to the problem. Now newman0072's question will haunt the universe ............ :wink: :party:

My first reaction was Magneride too but now I have my doubts. Dammit! Subscribing to the thread now, I have to find out.

The service manual shows 8 pin connectors in that location for Magneride, they connect to the height sensors (3 wires) and not sure what else. Pins 1 and 2 are blank.

Well...that was anticlimactic.

I imagine the other pins are used for the pigtail that goes to the shock body itself.

Nope-nope-nope...!!!

This S550 was supposed to be shipped to the UK.
These connectors were for the 007 option.
The one pin on the left is for:
- Passenger seat ejection
- Invisibility clocking device
- Surface to air missiles
The one on the right is for:
- Tire slasher
- Oil slick sprayer
- Revolving license plate
