So I've been slowly modifying the new vehicle, right now I'm running a Ford Performance tune. The idea of running an E85 flex fuel setup is interesting to me. E85 is pretty easily available in MI here. I do go to NJ/PA a lot too, where E85 is not available as much.

What do I need to run flex fuel E85 on this vehicle? Do I need to upgrade injectors/pump/lines? Can the components sustain E85?

Sorry if I come across as a complete noob and if there's threads out there already. All my vehicles have been modified but I have never dabbled in the corn business.

I really shouldn't answer this because there are TONS of threads that would have come up if you just searched for "e85" in the title.

Your setup, you need a tune and that's it. Basic bolt-on such as tune/intake/catback are fine on stock injectors.

Upgrade the intake manifold, headers, upgrade to the #47lb. You don't need to upgrade the pump. You can upgrade the injectors before any mods, it makes some people feal more comfortable. If you plan on going FI, you will eventually need to upgrade your fuel system.

This isn't 1986, any modern car can run e85 fuel just fine with the right tune/injectors. Its not going to ruin the car.

Thanks guys.

I assume I need an SCT X4 to get the tune from Lund for this?
For now, I want to run stock intake manifold/headers. Only change I am considering is the injectors.

You won't need injectors until you swap intake manifolds. You can run E85 on the stock injectors just fine with no other mods.

Stock intake manifold and minor stuff , just get a e85 tune no need for injectors. Aftermarket intake manifold 47lb injectors. Trust me the E85 is worth it. Even in bolt on form I'm getting plenty more power just for changing fuels, especially torque

So you can just tune for e85 and do nothing else?

Lund has a flex fuel tune and I think Livernois Performance (based out of Dearborn Heights) does too.
