Has anyone gotten an Ecoboost Premium w/ Auto being the only option around ~26k-27k?

Shopping around, and with my current loan, I will probably end up rolling anywhere from 2k-3k of negative equality depending what I can get on trade.

I would like to stay at 30k or under OTD financed. I could easily do it with an Ecoboost base w/auto, but really would like the premium.

Wondering if I am wasting time trying to get this.

As a few of you may remember (GT Pony, Tim, Gunman and 351 MachOne), I canceled my order for a GT Premium a few weeks ago with a dealer, due to lack of interest (in my opinion) and poor customer service. I have been negotiating with a dealer in Florida (I will be here for 5 more weeks for training, before I leave for Georgia). The dealer has been very good thus far and answered all of my questions (which, for the most part, I already knew the answers) quickly and honestly. I have decided to step down to a base GT mode, from the GT Premium I priced and ordered previouslyl (just don't want to drop 37-38K on a new car). I will be using X Plan to purchase.
The dealer also worked an X Plan price for an Ecoboost Premium (they are really "pushing" and "hawking" the ecoboosts for purchase it seems). Here are the final Out-The-Door prices for both (minus a $525.00 Advertising Fee on the GT and $499.00 on the Ecoboost. I know the price is figured in on X Plan...but, I told the dealer from the first email we exchanged I would not pay for it). Base GT: $34,931.00 (Ruby Red, 300A equipment group, automatic, 3.55 gears, enhanced security package, spare tire, spoiler delete and 18" Foundry wheels). Ecoboost Premium: $33,159.00 (Ruby Red, automatic, performance package, enhanced security package and base 200A equipment group). I will make my decision by mid-week next week and drive to the dealer (located about an hour from where I am now) next weekend to make the order. Even though these are X Plan prices, they still seemed a little "high" to me. Am I off base here? Are the prices about right or do they seem high to anyone else? Thanks in advance for all of your input.

IMO, if you're getting X Plan price with even more of a discount by not paying the "advertising fees" then the only other way to get a better deal is find some that are being sold below invoice. I thought I also saw someplace that there is not a $1000 factory rebate going on. Does your out the door price include the factory rebate(s). Looks like the 2nd $500 rebate is on dealer inventory that has been sitting around for quite awhile (read fine print).

GT Pony,

Hello and good evening. The prices quoted to me do indeed include the current $500.00 Ford Cash on mustangs and the $500.00 Military Cash. The dealer told me he could "lock it in/protect the rebates" and subtract it ($1000.00 total) from the final Out-The-Door price. I think both prices are good and fair; and I think since I advised the dealer from the beginning my unwillingness to pay the advertising fee, I am truly getting the car at invoice...well, minus a $45.00 fuel fee. I guess I "caved in" and agreed to pay this fee...even though I shouldn't have to pay for it.

local dealer here routinely advertises lower than x plan, sometimes $4k off certain builds

$1,500 under invoice

I posted this on the local forum but thought I might get more traction here.

I'm close to getting a pretty good deal on a new GT. The problem is it has the foundry wheels, which I really don't like. Is that too good of a deal to pass up just for wheels? It's also IS and I wanted OW but IS is toward the top of my preferred colors.

I would get it if the deal is good. Just get better wheels later. I am at a dealership now looking to place an order for a 2016 GT.
