Who do you have in mind for your alignment ? You’re not too far from me and I’m wouldn’t know who to trust to do it properly.

I will need to get it done after fitting my Steeda stuff so any recommendations would be really appreciated :like:

I use my local ATS mate, full 4 wheel laser alignment. I use them because my mate works there and he is a big car guy plus i do it with him so i know its bang on. I dont believe in tolerances when it comes to wheel alignment it has to be correct.

I am very particular about who touches my car being a qualified Mechanic myself, even though i don't work in the industry anymore i still know a lot of people in the trade round here.

I bought the Yuasa YBX5027 I saw in a @V8_MOTOR video :bandit:
Just bought one of these after my car left me stranded in Farm Foods car park yesterday. Odd cos it started up from cold no bother, drove there, then it refused to start. Had to jump it in the end to get home.
Ordered the battery from Tayna Batteries. Hopefully it'll turn up promptly cos the old one's obviously knackered.

I would be interested to know what you think of the vertical links and if you can tell any difference :like:

I thought clocking the bushes needed to be done when the car was sat under it’s own weight and not on axle stands ?

Hey Pal,

So, my car has had pedders coilovers on for a few year now and love the way they transformed the ride. The car handles great. Even with those on, BMR Sway Bars and BMR base IRS kit i would still get a little bit of a bouncy/wallowy feeling on the back end pushing hard in corners. No amount of changing settings would stop this.

It has now gone and the rear end of the car feels even more secure. I cannot say 100% it is down to the rear vertical links as i also fitted the Steeda rear shock mount but the 2 combined was a well worthy investment. Got rid of to weak rubber parts, I would highly recommend them :)

Just installed some new spark plugs, I was lead to believe the factory plugs weren't consistently gapped, so I thought if I'm having to pull them to check I may as well swap them.

Factory plugs: LTR6DP13, which were actually consistently gapped to 0.051
New plugs: LTR7IX11, gapped to 0.053

The improvement of swapping the plugs was definitely noticeable, the engine idles much quieter/smoother and picks up quicker. I thought maybe this was a placebo affect but the knock retard barely moved from 0, I think I saw it change to -0.25 once, where as before it fluctuated more often.

Here's what the plugs looked like:

HI Pal,

Did someone recommend the different grade plugs to you? Mine are ready for change and was just going to put standard ones back in?

Went to re-tax my car on 1st April (SORNed since Jan) to discover my MOT had expired! Managed to book one for the next day at KwikFit. Wouldn’t have been my #1 choice of locations but was desperate to drive the car this weekend (used to be my daily driver but now I work from home she’s become a weekend car and 3 months is a long time!). Passed the MOT and to my surprise it wasn’t a bad experience. Yesterday however I noticed some slight damage on the N/S front splitter and slight scuff on wheel arch. Can’t prove it but can only assume they made contact with the ramp at the test centre. Fortunately the wheel arch polished out and the spitter isn’t too noticeable. Note to self to check your car before driving off in future.

The other issue is that the A/C has stopped working. Might just need a re-gas but the compressor didn’t sound too healthy either. Had the evaporator replaced a couple of years ago (under warranty) when cold air only came out one side but this time it’s just blowing hot air both sides. Booked in at Fords in a couple of weeks time but bracing myself for some costly repairs.

Later model splitters are about £100 (if it's bad enough to need replacement), I would guess the pre facelift cost is similar ? : https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/help-need-a-valance-front-panel-for-my-bullitt-2020-uk-🇬🇧-anyone-know-where-i-can-get-one-i-damaged-mine-today-on-a-low-wall-gutted-thanks.157082/#post-3199865

Hope everything sorts itself out OK :like:

Busy Easter with packages from the US :)

A couple more to go but very nearly there.

Out with the shiny GT trim and in with the burnished GT350 trim
