What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I've been prepping for the upcoming auto-x and track day season and came across this while changing the rear diff fluid.

Wasn't too happy to see it but all I could do is wipe it off, put new fluid in and close it all up. I think I'll be more frequent with my fluid changes from here on out.

Mine was like that too. A lot of that is probably from initial break-in. I wouldn't expect as much the next time.

If that was your first change, then all is well. Even on your second change there could be a bit.

Installed my Ford Performance hood struts and Airaid CAI. The BMR cradle lockout kit should arrive today. I have the vertical links that I will install at the same time.

Ordered the 2018 Roush hood heat extractors ($229). I'm not sure if I am a fan of them or not, don't like everything going on with the Roush, but thinking a bit more black and larger vents may look good on my car. Worse case if I don't like them, I'm sure I can find a buyer among the group here..... Not sure when I'll get them, it says they are expected in February, so probably by end of month.

The BMR cradle lockout kit arrived last evening. I typically don't like to start projects late in the day but I couldn't wait. The kit is very high quality and the installation was a breeze. They recommend an alignment but I really don't think I need it. I lowered each side of the cradle individually just enough to install the kit and everything bolted up perfectly. I am sure it is in the same position it was when I started. This morning I will do the vertical links.
