I didn’t take mine off, the previous owner did so I didn’t get to hear the difference. Once my exhaust goes on then that will be music to my ears

@Stage_3 The weather improved enough yesterday so we could complete our before and after db test. The db numbers showed a slight decrease when compared to my wife's car.

We were pleased to find the high pitch whine of the tires was reduced. In addition, when going over railroad tracks, asphalt caulked joints, concrete saw lines, etc... the loud thumps and reverberating rattles were reduced. It's not a cure all but I'm happy with it.

Is the oil seperator really needed?
Per my user name I was having fun with the words I chose in my post, having said that I’m not qualified enough to answer if it’s actually “needed” so I’ll let others answer that question. However I will say I understand and agree with it’s use.
