We had a pretty day, so I drove the hell out of mine today. It was a good day with the windows down, listening to the exhaust do it’s thing.

Swapped over to a set of all-season tires so I can continue driving on nice days. Gave me the opportunity to detail the wheels and put on the 5 Spurs center caps.

Yeah, I did that exact same thing yesterday. It was only 43* up in the GA mountains when I left the house but I took it real easy to lunch and afterwards it was up to 56-57*. That was enough for me to open the windows and let the big dog down off the porch. Track mode of course because that’s the only way I roll it.

To say it was glorious would be an understatement! I must have been having a good time because for the first time I hit the limiter a couple times.

This past week going to work at 3am when the temps were 30°, the motor was real responsive and the accompanying exhaust note was music...

Finally ran into a fellow Mach 1 owner…. Actually he ran into me. He walked by my door at the H. depot parking lot and asked me to lower the windows. He looked innocent enough so I obliged. With gawking eyes he told me he liked the color. He showed me his FJ HP pictures and complained about the tires getting worn at 4k miles…funny how he was behaving exactly like I would if our roles were reversed. So glad to own one of these things for this added benefit.

Switched over to gorilla lugs yesterday. Im pleasantly surprised that they stuck out more than the stock lugs. I’m tempted to get the mach 1 caps in red to complete the wheel dressing.

First Stang, what Mach 1 caps in red are you talking about? I’ve looked all around for some with no luck. Could you point me toward them?

So far I’ve only seen stick ons from etsy. I think removing and painting is the way to go. I have a red high temp rust oleum waiting to go on the steeda irs braces Im expecting any day now. I may do what WDP did in red.

Gave mine a polish and put it to bed with the FP battery tender giving it life support through this winter.
