Anyone going to Road Atlanta 19-20 Nov? Installed the track seat and harnesses. New pads, FPS sway bars and fresh SRF.

Never been to a Cars and Caffeine but Iā€™ve thought about it.
Fourth gear 80mph is only 4400 RPM. Maybe I should just stay in third šŸ¤Ŗ

well sure, you can do what you want but you might be missing the pointā€¦if I wanted a quiet car to cruise in I would never have bought a voodoo, and therefore can count on one hand how many times I have used 6th gear in well over 30k of driving this car šŸ˜‰

Sorry guys, I must be getting old... but I really love 6th gear for long road trips or decompressing on the drive home from Road America. It's not often that I don't want to hear the exhaust but there are times.... It never ceases to amaze me how multi-faceted this car is.

Returned home from 500 mile driving trip through north Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina with a few old friends and our sons. Admired the dirt, grime and bugs before I put her away.

I'm impressed (and surprised) that you can navigate SF with that R splitter...
It's not too bad. I've done it a few times with FP lowering springs, R splitter, and 30 series tires. Just gotta be careful. Worst part for me was going over one of the hills and middle of my car scraped as I was going over the crest. Scraped up my jacking rails!

You have to view the R splitter as a consumable part, especially on Ford Performance springs. I scrape every time I enter or exit my garage.

Yeah, I hear you. That's how I view my regular splitter, which also scrapes going into my garage. How much worse is it with the R splitter? It sticks farther forward, but not necessarily any lower, right?

I don't notice is as particularly worse with the R splitter, but the R splitter + FP springs (which are 0.5" lower than the OE GT350R springs) + R spec tires (which as 30 series tires are 0.6" lower than the GT350's 35 series tires) lead to a lot of scraping. My car is 3"-3.5" off the ground, which equates to a 5Ā°-6Ā° approach angle, since the front contact patch is 34" behind the front of the R splitter.

Eehhh, scraping is only on the bottom. Just gotta be careful to not bonk anything straight on; thatā€™s the main thing. When I swapped to my R, I didnā€™t really note any major lifestyle change. That may change when I do the FP springs, LOL.

What I have personally noticed however is that the R splitter catches everything up front. Iā€™m surprised/disappointed just how quickly that sucker has become pitted up from the life of normal driving.
