I can certainly see where the very early and, very late numbers are in demand and I certainly get it. In my case, I just knew about the car well in advance and did my due diligence to see that I could obtain one.
The Golden Ticket thing ALMOST bit me in the hind end but fortunately, that problem was quickly rectified and I wound up being one of the first. But not because I wanted one of the first cars per se but I wanted one of the first cars. <smiling> I know, I know..convoluted at best. :-)
Who knows, ten or so years down the road, I may change my tune when banging gears or twisting knobs on high-horsepower pony cars isn't in the cards for me any longer. Then, perhaps the value of the lower numbers may help this old geezer. :-) Or, I'll sell it to someone like you, Harry, who truly deserves the early car.
