But... My Corvette is Tina (short for Athena) since she has only ever been owned by Veterans. She also has the tag "69STNGRY"
So: I'm going today to change my tag to "15COYOTE" so it's on hold when I get the 15.
No, I won't sport it on my 13 V6 haha. I'll keep it in the map pocket behind the passenger seat and rock the old one until it comes.
I have a thing for curvy redheads, so this one might just be "Kristina." Get it?
I have never felt the need to name a car. I call my Lightning my red truck and my 86 F150 my blue truck. Other names like S.O.B. apply when they aren't running right.
Here's a few from my past, not sure about My 15 Mustang till after I've got it and get to know it.
My 92 Lincoln Mark VII LSC was Lucille (Lincoln)
My 89 Thunderbird SC Was Thelma (Thunderbird)
My 97 Thunderbird LX was Tiffany (T-Bird)
and My Current 03 Accord Coupe is Corry (Accord)
I never really named my cars before that, although our family had a 76 LTD Country Squire Wagon we named Elvira after the Oakridge Boys song, and we also had a 73 Torino Wagon we named Bobbie Jo after My Mom and Dad Bob and Jodie.
I never named a car until my first daughter was about 3 or 4...she began naming all our cars...because of the movie Cars. At the time we had a race red/red interior 08 GT she called Lightening McQueen. The rusty old chevy truck we used on our property? Mater. It was fun. Not sure if she will name the 15 GT when it hits the driveway.
Here's a good one: back in the mid-80's when I was a teen, My best friend's dad had an old MGB that was white with black stripes. Its name? Snoopy. Their rusty orange 1975 Suburban with a 454? Thirsty Guy. You had to have a guy sitting on the fender pouring gas in it while you drove....
