Greetings all.
Frosty has developed a leak on passenger side front above kick panel. See pics.
It finally rained enough to show up and get water in the pan.
I know leak is up high somewhere.
Question is where to look.
I appreciate you all much.
Best regards, Dave

Hello all. I found the problem, I hope. I removed cowling cover, and found small plug on rt side flat that had water stains, and was loose. Removed plug, cleaned area up, applied new sealer reinstalled plug and covered it up with sealer. Then I found the driver wiper well with water standing in it, found the drain hole in the body weld, cleaned out and washed out well, it drains well now.
Put all together, and last night we had a frog drowner of a rain. Towel I put on floor dry as is everything else.
Another round of wetness due tomorrow, so we shall see how I did.
Thanks for the links. I think I read em before my prob, just couldn't find .
Thanks, Dave

I didn’t take a pre repair photo, but my passenger side fabric “plug” about mid way down the door had a couple of spots (moderate edge curl at about 12 o’clock and a “pucker” about 4 o’clock). Each probably about 5 mm in from the edge, so I’m guessing I still had 5-6mm of “seal” but I’m not a risk taker. I thought about seam sealer, various sealants and decided I liked Corbra Jet’s advice to use Gorilla tape. A little patience Got Er Dun……I used 2, 1” width pieces of tape just to make it easier to maneuver…stuck the exterior of the Gorilla tape to a piece of masking tape to use as a “handle“ and minimize handling the sticky side…

I’m with the group….these fabric plugs are crap and Ford should know better. Anyways, here is a pic of my fix…..I bet the Gorilla tape would be better than the OEM plug alone, but I just put this over the exiting plug, and you’ll never see it without poking a light in there….

I did a similar patch on pass middle cover. And sealed the factory cover underneath. Good work. Ain't beauteous, but we can't see it.
We have had several deluges since this and ol Frosty still dry.
Best regards, Dave
