I have always wanted a gt500 but never had the means to buy one new but I saved up paid my 16 off and bought this 2014 GT500 track pack performance pack. I will still hang around here and check in im eager to see the 7th gen but I'm afraid the pennacle will still be the 13-14 in my eyes. The gt500 has 7300 miles on it and the 16 had 24k miles i bought it new in 16.

That looks awesome! Looks brand new! There are few around me for sale, but none with that low miles or condition.

...I don't know if I would brag about buying an 8 yo car???????
If low miles, how about age related breakdown of wires, seals and other
electronic items and parts?

This. I give your car 2 years before spontaneous combustion due to old age. My suggestion - rewire the entire car immediately to prevent this.

Jokes aside, very nice car OP congrats

I'm with Jaymar on the old car. Drove a 17 year old Terminator until just 2 years ago. Wiring and seals were not a problem. 125000 miles, with the last 50k of those getting 16# of Whipple boost bashing.....well thats another story. But a stock GT 500 with low miles? You can't go wrong.

Not to mention the 66 Corvette with original wiring. Not a bit of trouble and the insulation is in great shape.

Mileage and exposure to the elements are everything. Just age, not so kuch.

Yeah, who'd want this piece of crap? :cwl:

....Riiiiiight
I tried to get my dad to buy a '70 GB Mach 1 in 1970.
I got a Maverick Grabber in Yellow instead.

In the intervening 52 years, I have came close several times of buying one, but
the thought of wiring and breakdown of components have held me back.

However, if someone wants to buy an old car and has the means; go for it..........

(it's just not for me)

How do you like the feel of the car vs your 16PP? Is the power way more intoxicating? Can you feel the lack of the independent rear suspension?

It looks awesome and I'm sure you're loving it. Congrats on achieving your dream car. 👍💥

Both cars are out of warranty but actually the 14 is in better condition than the 16 was the gt500 is a car that is mostly garaged its entire life usually with a cover on top of that whereas the gt i see as more of a daily driver this is more weekend car show car, the wires are still all like factory and the factory chalk markings are still showing underneath, the carbon fiber drive shaft is a sight to behold.

Definitely can tell it's a live axle car but it hooks better than my 13 gt did, not quite as planted as the 16 gtpp but it has 200 plus horsepower on the 16. Both cars are fun to drive but I would pick the gt500 over and over.
