Yeah $250 would be much easier to swallow lol I'm going to try a few different methods to strip the chrome, but honestly think I might just bite the bullet and get the DH parts. At least I know they should last. Painting, even after stripping the chrome, I'm concerned with longevity with them being frequent touch points.

brushed finishes are my favorite. chrome is as tacky as fake scoops and gas-cap-doors.
black and CF is cool.

i hate the chrome on the steering wheel, catches sun all the time.

A little off subject. I am thinking about adding mid speakers to my no premium. Does any one know if the mid speaker grill pops in or if it's part of the door panel?

Its wild but I think the dark horse handles are just the plastic BEFORE they chromed them for the other cars lol. crazy how i think it just looks better. I am not opposed to chrome or different materials but the way the interior is designed it looks very much like an after thought or stuck on versus say a BMW/Mercedes which everything flows and was designed to work together.

You might be right. I agree the black looks much better. Not a fan of black and chrome on the interior especially for a mustang. Gun metal or some type of brushed metal would have looked much better OEM.

The whole grill and trim ring if chrome are heat staked onto the door panel so you need to grind off the plastic on the backside to remove

Ended up abandoning stripping the chrome from the existing handles and pulls. Nearly impossible to strip without damaging the plastic and found a set of DH handles on eBay for ~$120. Going to buy the cheap Amazon carbon fiber stick on covers for the pulls. Seems like they fit really nice on the pulls. Going to paint them black with SEM 39143 Trim Black as I'm not a fan of the cheap looking CF. Total should be about ~$170 all in to delete the chrome from from the door panels. I have the base door panels so no chrome on the speaker grills. Will post pictures once complete.

There was an old video where somebody powder coated all of the chrome / silver pieces of the car. It was super detailed as well. It's no longer on youtube unfortunately.
