WEIRD. Rear Window Defroster only heating in 3 dime sized spots!

Like it says…. The rear window defogger is only heating in 3 dime sized spots!

I checked and there is continuity across the spots, and there is a similar amount of resistance between the tab and the center of the line on all of the lines, even the ones doing nothing…

the only thing i see is that the line seems to have lifted off of the glass in the center of the bottom hot spot.

and those spots are HOT… burn my finger tip touching it hot!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve had em quit working before… but never just heat in one spot!!!!!

I can see a lifting or damaged spot on the bottom one….. then there is a pattern of discolored areas that i noticed after wards that matches the pattern of the hot spots but its nit broken..

Your window heater wires looked to be Arked/shorted. I would take it to a dealer they should replace your window and possibly the controller. If not I would call Ford Customer care line and ask for them to cover. I've only seen that where window tint was improperly installed or removed. Good luck
