Weird MyColor message

Maybe I'm just not doing things right, but when I try to change the MyColor of the gauges or ambient lighting I am getting a "MyColor cannot be changed during the day" message. Funny thing it is night and it shows late PM on the clock as well. Looks like I need to consult the owners manual as evidently I'm too dumb to adjust the colors.

Anyone else have this message or problem? Just got it home new tonight. Can't wait to post up pics in the morning but thought I'd fool around with the MyColor settings and now I can't. Thanks for advice.

Were your headlights, or at least running lights turned on? ;)

Do they need to be on or off? I think the running lights were on possibly, but not sure.

I think I read elsewhere they all had to be off? It was posted on the forum a while back.

Just for grins, start it up & turn the lights on... Then try adjusting the colors. If all else fails, there's always the owner's manual. ;)

I did get the message also during daylight. Apparently the lights have to be on to be able to do that. Once nighttime came and the headlights were on, I had no problem setting the colors.

Thanks all, apparently I am a dumb ass and didn't know the lights had to be on. Works fine. My wife found the answer on the interwebz after about a 10 second search. Glad I've got a wife with a brain.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing the first day I had the car and then I figured out that it meant the headlights had to be on. DOH!!! I work in Information Technology and come across ambiguous error messages often, that you have to read more into or try to interpret what's really going on.

If it's any consolation my 07' is the same way and yes I tried to adjust it with the lights off and got a similar message.
