Weird color

Opened up my hood today and saw some of the piping changed into a copper ish color? What gives? Is that normal? :shrug:

To me it looks like the fuel lines are copper color with some sort of coating that is coming off. Just replace them with bigger fuel rails and be done with it LOL.

Thanks to the good guys at CJPP, Brandon helped me out.

Turns out its just the chrome peeling off of the steel line, it is copper plated, just as a substrate for the chrome to stick to.

I bet it is where the chrome plating came off and the first step in chroming is a copper layer.
