When I purchased my Ecoboost Mustang, my salesman told me that if I put my car in "track" mode and I am not on the track them my warranty is automatically voided. He said that the car can tell because of the GPS. Personally I don't believe it, but I have been leary about using the mode. Can anyone confirm this claim?

What he said really didn't make much sense. Didn't understay why the warranty would be voided because of that. Hell, its a feature that comes with the car.

Im surprised he didn't say your warranty is void if you go to a track and use track mode.

Basically my salesman was an idiot and didn't know what he was talking about. So I guess using "Normal" mode on a track will void my warranty too.

lol so they are going to pull up a history of any track mode use and then cross reference it with your GPS coordinates and then research whether there are any tracks there before they fix your car under warranty? nope stupid sales guy

LOL. Makes no sense at all. He told me that it goes by the navigation in my car. Then how about a car that doesn't have navigation?

There's still a GPS in there... At least on my premium without NAV, you can still go to the screen and get a "current location" which shows your coordinates.

Can you imagine if this guy tells every potential Mustang owner this and they lose sales because of it?

Lol, so if you're trying to cycle through the modes aren't you always going to run through VoidWarrantyMode (Track)?
