Want to upgrade ESS regular intercooler

i know its a little bit of a necro but i was curious if anyone came across anyone that sells or can make some custom piping.

I mainly want to replace the silicone tube that runs from the MAF tube to the throttle body. Ive seen a couple builds floating around the web with this and really like how it looks. I hate how the one that comes with the kit has a funky bend in it, almost like a kink. ESS says its fine, and in their defense, it may be and may have no negligible affect on performance, but it does look shitty.

I also don't get how they can call it a budget kit but use silicone if that supposedly costs so much more. I love the kit, it runs great. but improvements could definately be made.

I see it more as a *value* item. You're getting good and premium parts at a good price while keeping it at an accessible price point. I think that contributes to its popularity. Budget items to ME tend to give low to moderate quality at acceptable prices.

5 ply definitely is not cheap, and is incredibly strong. And after dealing with several wiring harnesses getting in my way, I'm super glad the piping was more flexible.

Looks wise. I'm not really into engine dress up yet, I get some very much are into that. But I don't find it any better or worse than anything else in the form out of the box centri systems.

I only needed to remake the intake portion before the compressor. BUT only because my new bumper cover forced my turn signal housing back further. And was damageing the air filter. But that was my doing.
