So I've had my GT for a couple months now and do really like being able to feel the acceleration. Lost my first sudo race Friday, a wrx sti pulled up next to me on a sweeping left turn at the red light. I wasn't paying attention to what was next to me. I guess he did. The light turned green and he took me on the outside. Once we were up to 60mph I slowed down as he had to merge into my lane. I'm starting to think I want a supercharger or turbo. Can someone give me the pros and cons to each. I have to pass emission testing each year so have to keep my cats and not mess with the OBD2. Also can only get 91 octane here so limited to that. Also concerned with tires, being my daily driver wondering if factory hp is at the upper limit of regular old tires can handle. I'd hate to get something FI and find out I just roast the tires all the time. Guessing it still lets you get a feel for it and that it's possible for a DD to still have fun on the road when the next STI pulls up. Would appreciate any input on this, I'm sure all of these questions have been asked before. Just not sure if a turbo or supercharger is good for a daily driver without top of the line tires. Also not sure they make turbo kits that allow me to pass my smog testing. Thanks hopefully.
