Seems to be a LOT of interest in this turbo with the upcoming twin scroll option so we figured we would start this thread to keep people updated as it comes to fruition. Once we get them in, and they start shipping this thread can also be used as an initial impressions / results thread.

Timeline as of today 09/26/16

- 1st sample expected middle of Oct
- Testing finished within a week after receiving
- Production approval
- 50 units shipped to us end of Oct, beginning or Nov

If anything changes we will update the thread.

Again we appreciate the support!

We suggest taking a look at our previous Stage 2 threads, there are a couple of them on this forum. Just search VTT Stage 2 or Vargas Stage 2. This way you can familiarize yourself with what we are offering. The turbo is unchanged, we are adding a Twin Scroll turbine housing as an option.

What is the benefit of a twin scroll?
In very simple terms, it helps smooth out the pulses from the exhaust to optimize them in driving the turbine. It can help a turbo spool faster in most cases but it comes at the cost of top end exhaust flow, the same turbo with an identical sized housing, one single scroll, one twin scroll will perform differently. The Single Scroll taking a little longer to spool, but have much more top end flow, and power potential. The Twin Scroll will spool up faster, providing, a broader power, and tq curve, but will become restrictive up top compared to the single. We are offering the TS so people will have a choice of a flatter, more broad Tq curve, or very high WHP, and top end. Hopefully that helps explain it a little better.

Just to remind people what the goal with this turbo was from the beginning, and it has not changed.

Low cost, high flow, STOCK appearing EBM turbo upgrade capable of making 500WHP, while passing Ford Tech inspections, and Emissions inspections.

We have accomplished this in every single way, and love what we created for you guys. 500WHP, 10 sec capable performance for under $2000.

Could we have built a BB unit, sure we have them for other platforms. They are great for transient response, and longevity, but they much more expensive. Also the CHRA would have to be changed like the other guys are doing. Say goodbye to dealer service, or warranty claims without removing the turbo, and putting the stock unit back on.

We feel we have created a "best of all worlds" turbo, and the TS option is the ONLY thing left to completely take care of the EBM stock frame market, and any voids left in it!

Its good that the turbo is low price and has stock appearing, but what makes me feel uncomfortable is that non video exist (except one with the 10.9sec run) how the car run on street. (2nd gear to 3thrd gear shift full throttle and so on). Im hoping to see more video from the turbo or the twin scroll when it comes out.

Never the less, good time on the run :D

I am extremely interested in what this twin scroll is capable of. Me personally I'm only looking for around 430-440 as I'm on a stock motor, and also do not want to change out my torque converter. I'm excited to see the results.
