Decided to try some in my whipple stage 1 19 mustang (lund tune). Was seeing 15-16* now it seems to hit lunds timing cap at 19*. If it fouls out the plugs i have a set ready to go in anyways. Don’t want to buy a fuel system yet so this seemed to scratch that itch.

I do not have any kind of supercharger system but I use it all the time. It gives me a nice kick in the ass on the weekend and I love it. I have a Lund 91/93 tune as well.

I run boostane but had to use vp once while I waited for a delivery. Seemed to work just as well. And yes I consistently see 19° on my Lund tune. I run 10oz in every tank of gas and have come to realize I get 10k miles before my plugs are trashed from the mmt. If I push it to 11-12k miles with out changing them I start to feel the studder off the line.

I figured I would run it once it a while, any issues with the o2s? My source of sunoco 260gt is gone so I figured why not try it.

I've got over 71k on my car and 23k boosted. I've run boostane in every tank since going TT. O2s have not been changed but plugs and exhaust tips need cleaned more often. Here's what my plugs look like after 10k miles.

Good to know, plugs are no issue. I usually chance the every summer. Wonder if i can push it into the 9s with a pulley and the 132 tb on a good da.

Great to know as well. I haven’t changed my plugs and I have 45,000 miles on the car. I don’t run it every tank but I can’t wait to see what the plugs look like when I change them out.

Wonder what makes the unleaded octanium different? Is it actually lead?

It’s just MMT. Same additive used in Torco and a few others. No lead.

The MMT is what makes these octane boosters so effective. It's also what turns everything orange. Lol

I remember a few years ago these octane boosters didn’t seem to do much. Nice to see things have changed. I plan on using the boostane “shots” as a safety measure against bad gas

I tested a couple of cans of Boostane and it definitely worked.

If anyone is interested, I’ve spent the last couple of years finding ways to run more timing on 93 without having to add booster to each tank. At the moment I’ve been able to consistently hit 22-23 deg timing on the 4” pulley with no knock detected. I’m currently running the 3.375 pulley at 18.5 deg timing and no knock, with more to come. This was accomplished through heat management, tuning, exhaust work, and gdi modifications.

I tried the VP stuff, its hard to see any gains in the summer since boosted cars are down
on power in the heat but when it was cooler it seemed to have a little more gusto
but dont expect much
