Vortech 3.33

Please help!!! I pulleyd down to 3.33 and I am only seeing 13.5 at 7500 rpm with 1.8ish load on E85. Lund told me that I should easily see 14-16psi and should see 2.0 - 2.1 load. What am I doing wrong? I smoke test it and pressurized charge pipes and eliminated boost leak such as BPV and vacuum hose and saw 13.8. are any one seeing the same boost here and I should just chill out? or Am i the only one making less boost?. here is my mod list -

Vortech V-3 JT with max flow race BPV with 3.33 with 100" belt brand new. idler on right side 2nd hole. Its TIGHT! Tuner dont see it slipping.
Fore innovation fuel full return line E-85
Long tube headers no cats with corsa extreme cat-back exhaust.

That Maxflow BOV gave me problems with the 3.33, and I had to go with a BV57. Tial Q is also another decent alternative.

thats a good thought. because I was leaking on BPV and I had to tight down using set screw but was not recommended. Where can I buy the Tial Q and how much? and Dont I need a converter plate/flange for it?

So you have a filter directly on the blower. Take it off, and do another log, come back and let us know what load and airflow does.

Took the filter out and did WOT 3rd gear, I saw 13.5 psi and load is 1.98 at 7500ish RPM. 19 degree timing. Does that sound right? or am i still missing some boost?

The boost number is kinda irrelevant. You saw an increase in load, and I’m guessing MAF hz as well. So you’re moving more air. Regardless of the peak boost it saw.

For reference: I gained 30whp going from 1.83 peak load to about 1.94 load. Pulls made within 45 minutes from each other. MAF hz went from 9.73 to 9.98

Got it. So I should just ignore what my boost says on manual boost gauge then correct? Essentially, Boost are only measured base on airflow restriction so if logs are looking good, that just means that my set up is less restrictive thus, more airflow flow and flowing nicely. I guess whats making me trip is other people are seeing 14-16 psi with 3.33 almost the same set up - application as mine while im only seeing 13.5 psi at the highest - peak. also my tuner says (LUND) that i should be seeing 2.0 - 2.1 load with the 3.33 pulley. care to chime in?
