Vorshlag Lug Nuts

Setting aside personal preferences based on looks, I'm guessing since Vorshlag is selling these, they should be a pretty solid, legit option for high quality lug nuts, no??!!

I wish they said if they were aluminum or steel.

They look pretty similar to the Ford Performance open lug nuts which is what I use on my track wheels, but a different finish. Seem fine.

they don't round off or gnarl the threads like the regular zinc/chrome lugs, which makes them worth the extra for me, since i change my wheels >30x/year. the black coating also blends in with my wheels.

no, you wouldn’t... but kids buy them because they’re “lightweight” and everybody thinks loosing a little unsprung rotating mass is going to make them 0.2sec faster in the quarter mile.

One of the funniest/cringeworthy moments of 2018 was watching a friend’s S197 slide on it’s frame as one of his wheels rolled itself off into the sunset after separating from the hub at a local autox. Turns out 4 turns of aluminum tuner lug nut engagement wasn’t enough after all.

shortly thereafter you could hear the sounds of dozens of torque wrenches double checking the lug nut torque from all over the pits, like crickets on warm evening.

Yea, those are cool, but at twice the price of the Vorshlag, it’s just not needed; no track on this car, wheels aren’t coming on and off, etc.
