Vmp 11-17 return style fuel system issue

I’m currently running Vmp’s return style fuel system. It’s been great however around 70-60 miles left to “E” or atleast what the car thinks is 60-70 miles left to E the gauge will drop and I will get the “3 miles to E” and so on. At that point if I fill up it only takes 10 gallons meaning there is still 6 gallons in the tank. I’ve reach out to VMP twice and have not received a response either time. I even pulled the fuel hat to check and everything looks as it should. Any help would be appreciated.
