Hey everyone, picked up a non handling package Mach 1 that I'm in the process of adding handling package accessories to. I ordered the Mach 1 HP spoiler and I found that it only comes in gloss black, not the satin black/dark gray that the HP cars come with. My question is, has anyone wrapped a GT500 style spoiler before? Would it be better to do it while it's on or off the car? Or, should I just forget about wrapping it and keep it gloss black?

For sh.ts n giggles, I did a vinyl wrap on the non hp spoiler with mixed results. Easy enough to do and decent looking but up close, my skills or lack thereof showed. Maybe a matte black plasti dip if they make it is another option you can explore.

It's almost always easier to wrap a part when it's off. Especially one where you need to get all sides covered.

The trade off is having to remove it. But yours is already off.

The GT500/GT350/Mach1 HP Swing has a lot of curves and bends to it. Anything is possible but it’s going to be a little more tricky to wrap than the non-HP spoiler for sure. Agree with Tony, if you’re going to wrap it, do it before you put it on the car.

Magnetic Metallic (J7) is the Ford paint code for the HP spoiler (and other HP pieces in that color). I’m sure you can find a wrap that is very close. It’s a satin finish as well. If you want to keep it black but have the satin finish, I’d recommend a stealth PPF. That will give you the satin finish but keep the black paint color.
