Looking to get my 2017 dash vinyl wrapped, only the 2 pieces shown in pictures, how much realistically should it cost? Got 1 quote already for $300 for just the 2 pieces in vinyl????? That sounds absurd to me. An entire dash overlay kit is 250. What should I really expect? Hell for 500 I could get the hardcover set which I really want but that's a lot of money for a overlay. Please weigh in if you've had a dash wrapped before. My oem factory finish is chipping, bubbling and falling apart and looks terrible.

I was quoted $100 by a local reputable shop to do both pieces shown in the pics.

See 100% I'm inclined to wrap it probably carbon fiber to have the pattern hides the scratches and chipping. For $100 vs buying a 250$ kit. I could maybe wrap it myself but with all the foam tape and holes and my OCD I would fuck it up and redo it like 20 times need more vinyl and spend more on vinyl than just having someone else do it lol.

Adding vinyl is the new cool thing to do.
This is my last truck. Car paint does good also if you clear it. If you don't have a gun check your local hobby shop. They have spray model paint in many options. Candy apple red and chameleon are just some of the many options. I haven't bought some in many years. You might have to order it.

Why not buy some cheap vinyl to see if you can do it first?

They probably quoted you that high price because it’s a small job. They likely didn’t want to do it but if you are going to have them do it, they want to get paid for it.

The other 2 aren't this pattern. And which other 2 do you mean? Gauge cluster? Or the lower side pieces?

just the two lower side pieces. them not matching would drive me crazy, but if youre wrapping them to have them all match, then that make sense. i forget some options they dont match stock. if i was going through to bother wrapping those trim pieces, idunno why i wouldnt do all four to make them match, but thats just me.

The lower side pieces are black not silver so it won't matter.

I'm being told material cost is high unfortunately. 300-350 seems to be the going rate. I decided just going for gloss black for 150 so that I can darken it up and not have to deal with the crappy silver that's peeling and falling apart. It sucks to pay 150 but supporting a local small business and I know I'd get annoyed trying to make gloss black look good through the curved and holes and stuff
