Depends on the dealer... some do not want to interfere with their stock orders, but if you have the stock order already filled... they just used you as a means to up their allotment is my guess... a retail order is already sold for the most part....getting the stock orders and selling as walk ins can also boost their sales.... ... it's confusing how all the allotments work... don't care... my car gets here when it gets here unfortunate though some of my plans fell through as how to make a down payment.... I hate 401k can't even access my money when I want to!I don't know of any retail orders that have a VIN. It doesn't make that much of a difference. My car will be built the week of August 28th and will sit in a Ford lot until there is enough stock to send cars nationwide in September. Retail orders will follow by just a few weeks. At least that is what I am hearing in the M6G threads.
Ordered my EB on 5/20. It has the 50th AP and I got my VIN a week ago.
I ordered it X-Plan and it is a dealer stock order.
I'm pretty sure this is a dealer by dealer policy. Your dealer always orders ADX plans retail, but mine doesn't make that restriction and ordered it from their stock allocation on 5/21.
