Looks like mine will be built about the same time as yours, dealer told me mid Sept for a build date. So looks like the 50th AE are not going to be built before any others. While bummed about waiting, it may be a good thing mine won't be one of the first one to be built

Yeah, mid September seems like a good balance between too early and testing my patience. I'll definitely have it by end of October as long as there are no delays, so I'm happy.

In case you are wondering, your VIN is now populated in ETIS and you can add it to myford with your other cars and get some myford touch training if you are not used to it. It is the first year for my touch in Mustangs and you can download the myford touch app and play with the screen while you wait with us.

Although it seems like a while to wait, most cars that hit dealer lots as demos and such will be sitting a bit in MI, during a QC process. Although there are dates out there for build weeks, cars will not ship until AQL is met. Keep checking here and you will learn when the first cars start shipping.

I am getting white, with a auto
I have myford touch in my Focus ST, so I am used to it already, I hope they improved it over the current version, though having some of the controls moved off the screen will help, and keep finger prints to a minimum.

quick question about the MFT. Am I correct in assuming you can dim the screen to nearly not visible? Bright lights at night are a problem for me.

there are brightness setting, but I never messed with them, I have no issues with the brightness of the screen. Though on both my Mustang and Focus, covered the floor lighting. Lights on my feet drive me nuts

My wife's Highlander will flip the map from a white background to a black background when the lights are turned on, does MFT do something similar?

So what you're saying is that if the car was issued a VIN already as of now, it's one of the cars on their stock order? I changed the last digit on the order # on cotus and there are 2 other orders that have been issued VIN #'s and were ordered on the same day I went in.

I don't know of any retail orders that have a VIN. It doesn't make that much of a difference. My car will be built the week of August 28th and will sit in a Ford lot until there is enough stock to send cars nationwide in September. Retail orders will follow by just a few weeks. At least that is what I am hearing in the M6G threads.

Maybe has to deal with allocation then... I have seen a few that have the 50 appearance and they too don't have vin yet no one actually.... the 5 orders I see...including mine.

Ordered my EB on 5/20. It has the 50th AP and I got my VIN a week ago.

Its also possible ordered dealer stock... I think some have been doing individual orders.... if you did any of the adx plans, they are automatically retail, special order

I ordered it X-Plan and it is a dealer stock order.

I'm pretty sure this is a dealer by dealer policy. Your dealer always orders ADX plans retail, but mine doesn't make that restriction and ordered it from their stock allocation on 5/21.

My dealer gave me the date even though it doesn't show up on cotus. I see the VIN on cotus, but no date.

Yup. I can see the VIN on ETIS (http://www.etis.ford.com/home.do) but the build date is still showing the default. My dealer gave me the build date.

Take a look at this pic
If you go to the home screen, it is mostly black, so if your light sensitive, just Keep it there. If anything like my focus, even if in navigation mode, the center screen in the dash,(between speedo, and tach) also will have info on your next turn

Mines 275. We close to each other. Same car. White auto. I have manual roush charged 2011 now with vmp tune. My buddy has an auto. Vmp really has those autos down pat.

I don't have a build date either. But it appears that they will be building all of them at once in the first two weeks of September ish.
