I just looked and my order number is also the date I ordered my carIf you can't track, not sure :/
My dealer happens to use the date as the order number, so I can just go back in time in the orders and see who got VINs (i'm the next mustang in line, ordered 6/14, priority 19).
I just realized, I used the Summer of '69 song when I made the slide show of the car last week. I guess it does no good to hide the numbers as they will be easily obtained eventually, so my number is 69 :love:Oh the VIN is 1FA6P8RF7F55XXXXX, the last 4 digits are the serial number. I'm not sure if they will load the cars into the customer order tracker as it will be easy to figure out where all of the cars went. I am lower than 100 and greater than 63, so I am very happy with my serial number.
What method/source did you use to get your Vin?Just got my VIN and serial number of my LE...happy happy happy
www.cotus.ford.comWhat method/source did you use to get your Vin?
The Dealer/Inventory Director (over 14 dealerships). He also said we'll see the LE's before the "OK to Sell" dateWhat method/source did you use to get your Vin?
Thanks, We only use rear plates here, the dealer is not going to install anything without me being there. The GM said he understands keeping it unmolested, and will let me take it in and out of the service area for the arrival QC.What method/source did you use to get your Vin?
don't think so, that's just how you're paying?I just looked at my order confirmation again - Where it has Order Type - it has the X (my guess since we used Xplan)
Could that be why I don't have a VIN yet
Congrats!!!! I ordered on the 20th as well. Crossing my fingers I get a VIN this week or next. I didn't order an LE, just a loaded Fastback.Just got my VIN and serial number of my LE...happy happy happy
I talked to my dealer yesterday about that. He said that when they place an order with x-plan, it automatically goes in as a retail order. That just may be how this specific dealer does it and might not be indicative of all Ford dealers .. :shrug:don't think so, that's just how you're paying?

Your statement makes more sense than my assumption. However, given the "OK to sell" date was publicized as October 27, 2014, it probably is somewhat of a moot point to have a dealer stock rather than retail order, although it depends on when the scheduling for retail orders would happen relative to the "OK to sell" date. Can we confirm DLR INV means stock order? Anyone else have info on this? Pretty sure that just means 'DEALER INVOICE' for the price column below it.
My understanding is that priority codes 10-19: retail order, and 20-90?: stock order
