Right now I have the BMR Cradle Lockout Kit CB005, Steeda Poly Diff Bushings, and I'm about to pick up some drag radials. I only have a tune and a PMAS as far as adding power. With my stock 255s I don't have wheel hop but I just don't hook particularly well either. I've gotten a 1.93 60ft with the stock tires at about 24psi. Once I add the DRs, will I end up getting better 60 ft times if I add the Viking adj shocks or is that not needed until I make more power? I've read where some people had issues with noise that was generated by adding the shocks and they didn't like it. Anyone has any first-hand knowledge of these shocks and can provide some insite? How much do they help? Do you need them with only a couple basic bolt ons? Do they induce noise issues? Thanks

They are best to use once you start noticing the car bounce on the drag strip.

There isn't really a set power level. But with an auto, I would say they may not be needed until you step up to a poweradder.....BUT, in the world of drag racing, any improvement is better. If they are set up properly, they should provide gains on most any car. More efficient suspension and chassis control is the name of the game.

Thanks Kelly! What do you know about the noise issues people have complained about?

It is hit or miss. Some have it or notice it more than others.

I have never experienced it, and I have a ton of use on a bunch of different sets of them.

It has been stated that the noise is likely excessive NVH caused by the combination of a very (possibly overly) rigid/stiff lower mount bushing from Energy Suspension...AND the grease that is used to lubricate them.

So Viking has worked tirelessly with Energy Suspension on a new bushing design and a new grease formulation to combat the NVH. For those who have the NVH issue, I am sure once the bushings are revised and available, Viking would be more than happy to send them out to customers.

Excellent info. I will see how things go after I add my DRs. I plan to do a torque converter after the DRs and maybe the shocks will help after that. Thanks Kelly and bluebeastsrt for all the info.
