Just came back from a track day Sunday and had some issues on right turns that involved hard braking. During the entry, I would get a shaking/klunk from the front passenger wheel with minimal vibration in the steering wheel. I checked sway/strut, etc bolts and everything was tight.

My only guess is my coilover spring pre-load is off and the spring is shaking. I didn't get the klunk on straights/left turns. Driving the car back home I got a similar klunk/vibration going over medium to large bumps.

Will check the coilover tonight, just wanted to see if anyone else out there has had a similar issue.

Thank you.

Had similar noise and it was the swaybar endlinks weren't tight enough.

That was also in the back of my mind. Thanks for pointing that out. The fact I'm still running the stock endlinks leads me to believe this may be the culprit.

Besides the endlinks, check the sway bar mounts themselves and check for play in the top mount of the strut. The top mount if not OEM often use a spherical bearing and they will pop if not tight. I doubt it was a spring preload issue as you would need to unload the suspension prior to the clunk sound as the spring re-seated.

Let us know what you find.

Happy to report it was 100% the endlink. Probably need aftermarket ones before next track day to give a few mm more length.

Thanks to the both of you!
