2016 GT Performance Package convertible.......

- Ford Racing Touring Catback
How did you get it to fit? I read it isn't compatible with convertibles.

nothing at all. it fits. it's a real tight fit around the convertible bracing/brackets, but it fits fine. just needs a careful tweaking.

Ah good to know! Thnx.

Now I just need to find someone in CA that can install it.

just about anywhere could install it. you could. it's crazy simple to do on our cars now that we don't have to deal with getting pipes over the solid rear axle.

we had ours installed by our selling dealership.

Looks like I have to go with an axle-back because the catbacks are too loud/not legal in CA and I don't want any trouble with the law :ninja:

Leaning towards Ford Racing Touring Axel-back now.

I was leaning towards the Ford Racing Sport Catback but I realized it's not legal here in CA. :(
LOL, just don't be driving at 60mph in 2nd gear across a police officer. The sport catback doesn't bring much attention to it at all unless you romp on it.

Hehe, so do you think I could get away with it? And do you recommend or know any good installers in the greater LA area?

Considering there's guys on this forum driving around LA w/ Borla ATAK & the loud Corsa exhausts, yea, you're fine.

I have the Borla Sport exhaust on mine & I can roll into my neighborhood at 3am super quiet. Starting the car at 5am when it's cold is a slightly different story, but it doesn't stay loud for more than a few seconds.

I just installed mine myself - it's more work to remove the stock exhaust; install is much easier since it's multiple pieces. If you need an installer and willing to drive further down OC, one of our sponsors on here, Hillbank Motorsports, does installs I believe.

Nice car. Mine is very similar but it's a 15 Premium with the 50th appearance package.
Did your lowering springs change the ride of your car much? Also did you feel any difference on your butt dyno:) when you installed the Steeda CAI....I'm assuming you aren't tuned yet? Thanks.

"My very first mod was the CDC Light Bar. I love the way verts look with these. Kinda helps to visually balance the car as verts seem to look very 'front' heavy, if that makes sense."
I agree 100% with this. I have wondered though if this makes it difficult for someone to get in and out of the back seat? We have an 8 year old son(he's already as big as most 12 year olds) who occasionally rides in the back seat.

Let me know if this changes the ride of the car comfortwise. I like the way my car rides stock but once I change wheels/tires it may need to be lowered to give a finished look. If there's not too much wheel gap I will probably leave it stock. Thanks.

It definitely does ever so slightly, you just have to get around it, bit it's not in intrusive. I had this bar on my '13 Mustang.

These lowering springs didn't change anything with the comfort, being that I already have the rougher less floaty GT Performance Package. They are intended and advertised as being intended to lower the car without making the ride harsher. Also advertised to pair with stock dampers.

No power gained from the intake and Catback, because it's well known that they don't add anything.
