Mishimoto is not sure 2 spacers with the OEM full brace plus theirs would work as they have no v6 to test fit. They are possibly working on a v6 brace in the future though. They are in DE and Im in MD so I may possibly help out with this so we can get some v6 strut brace love.
Just gave them my contact info. Hopefully one day we can work something out. Theyre 1-1.5 hrs away from me.

The tower brace connects the points when the strut (which is a part of the suspension and connected to the wheel) connects to the body of the car. By connecting the strut towers together it makes the frame stiffer and prevents the two towers from moving in relation to one another, this is called a geometry change I believe. The stiffer the frame of the car the better it will handle and apply its power to the ground.

To all who read, if any of this is wrong please correct me because this is my current understanding!
Now I understand, I would like to get one now, Thanks for explaining.

Everyone should get at least the K brace. Just it makes a noticeable difference and it is a super easy install.

I had read 5/8 spacers,I am also thinking of buying one.I wonder if you could double nut-use a nut below the strut:shrug:

I tried a nut below but it was too thick and the top nut ran out of thread. You basically want the top brace as high as you can get it before running out of thread.

I used rubber washers under my tower strut brace to clear it off the engine and hood.

Looks like that was about 4 months ago now; how are they holding up?

So what brace works on the 2016 v6 ? And what washers did you need or use? Or is it just the K bracket?.
Ford Racing brace ?
