Me and my dad are looking into buying a 2016 V6, and he recently tagged me in a post about a ProCharger for the V6. The article claimed to have power gains of 50-60% more power. They said it would make nearly 400RWHP. I know the EcoBoost comes with a turbo stock, and has the potential to upgrade the turbo, but personally we dont like that sound of the ecoboost at all, even with a exhaust. I know thats a small factor, and I know the ecoboost has more potential for better handling and a premium package, but I live in a town without any backroads so we are primarily focused on quick acceleration more than anything. So I wanted to get some input on what you guys think. We would probably buy the V6 and then get the procharger sometime in the future, but do you guys think it is worth it? Any and all input is appreciated!

You could also buy a upgraded turbo kit for the EB for half the cost of the Procharger kit and you would be able to hit the 400rwhp mark with EASE! It is really about your preference though in this case and if the sound of the 4 banger bothers you that much go for the v6! Like everyone else said those v6 motors still have great potential!

Stupid question - will s197 v6 (2012+) procharger fit our s550 v6? Their website seems to be listing them as 2011-14 and 2015+ but i was just curious

Any chance you can get us the part number of the MAP sensor used for the procharger install? Some of us what to go FI through factory EB turbos and the stock 1bar MAP sensor won't do for tuning. Procharger must have replaced the MAP sensor with a 2 or better but I am just curious to get the part number to see if it can be purchased seperatly!

Sorry but the writing on the MAP sensor is illegible. There is an short cable (converter maybe?) that goes from it to the factory wiring that has P/N AIFT11025 on it. Can't find anything on google on that P/N on it.

Ah of course.... It does answer my question though about if they are using a converter. So no writing at all is ledgible? Thanks for the info!

You should put 383whp to the wheels and approx. 450hp at the crank. You'll want to consider an upgraded clutch/flywheel and one-piece driveshaft (maybe). I never needed either but it was recommended by members on here. It will all depend on how you drive it.
