I really don't care what they call it as long as I can continue buying aggressively priced V8 motors with manual transmissions as well as decent build quality.
Considering getting rid of my 2019 5.0 and going back to 2015 5.0 with 75k km. What are the common things to look for when I go to see the car in person? It's a 401a as well.
Good to see locals on these forums. On topic, have you noticed any pad cracking after track day(s)? I've done 4 half days at TMP and 3/4 pads are cracked.
Personal satisfaction? Setting a new PB? Beating a friend's time? What the hell is the point of going to the track then? Go cruise on the highway if you're not chasing times...
I don't agree with that. Just because I'm an amateur, doesn't mean that I don't have experience. I am fairly consistent (outside of traffic) on my local track and every clean lap I had was within ~.7 second difference (looked at my last 4 sessions). Anyways, it's not a pissing contest - all I'm...
Thanks for your reply. Do they grip or
Yep, since the tires don't have a rotational direction I figured rotating them is a good idea, especially since my track is a lot harder on the left side. I definitely do not push the car 10/10 and so far did around 5000km and 3 track days on the tires. I...
What people don't seem to understand is that not every track is the same. These guys are testing these cars on local tracks that are slow (+/- 180 km/h on a straight) and technical. I can attest to that because I take mine to the same local tracks (not the one in the video) and do not have any...
What is considered "done" on these tires? I'm also running 305 CUP2s that came on my PP2 and noticing outside wear is getting low. It would be helpful to know instead of cording them on track.
Rock guards are a must. If you don't have any rock chips it's only a matter of time until you do. I had a piece of paint missing within the first week. After 5000km I had 3-4 chips on the wheel well lip (where the guards mount with 3M tape). I have not yet inspected the sides or the rear bumper...
How is your experience with MM plates thus far? Any noise? I also have a PP2 and looking to get 2/2.5 degrees for daily with 4-6 track day events a year. I would prefer to start with 2 but might need more to tuck in the front tire poke.
I stumbled upon this 2018 features PDF guide and under '6-speed manual' section it says that the car comes with OEM trans oil cooler - is that true? Has anyone confirmed this?

You know what, maybe you're onto something. I completely forgot that this is even a thing and I'm not keen on testing it either *cough* shift forks *cough*
