V6 intake and BBK TB

I'm not sure which intake I am going with but between airaid, k&n, and roush does anyone know which will work with the bbk 73mm tb? I've read airaid will. Im not sure if I will grab the $400+ tb since it doesnt seem like a huge improvement on its own, but with a tune things could get better. Does anyone have the bbk tb?

I have the throttle body. My advice is save your money and put it towards something else first. The throttle body does work but it doesn't give enough power to justify the price. And it does fit with the airaid intake. I would save this for one of the last performance mods you do to your car.

What he said. Tune is huge. Then headers and exhaust. If you have weak gears a gear change is big also. TB, not so much.

Thanks. Im grabbing a cai next if i can decide which i like. Then tune. Then idk engine wise...headers, tb? Cant find an exhaust i like the sound of.

Personally I like borla exhaust the best but it's to much money right now I will just be doing an x pipe on the current setup very soon. Yes an intake and tune and headers would be the first 3 things I would do. They are all the cheapest mods to start with. Also you can do a throttle body spacer as well they are cheap too.

Thanks. My engine compartment needs to catch up with my suspension/chassis! You have any videos of your bbk shortys and magnaflow mufflers? Honestly I want something close to v8 sound, but I know that isnt going to happen.

No I don't have any videos. My setup right now is very quiet and can only be heard upon start up and WOT. Yeah I love the sound of the GT but I do not think any setup would make it sound like that.

Those 3 mods should make any V6 owner very happy. It'll turn a high 13 low 14 second car into a low to mid 13 second car.

Does anyone have numbers for airaid intake? Im sure its the same ballpark. But it costs more than k&n and roush. I like the look and box idea though.

The airaid intake looks restrictive. Has anyone tried cutting and opening up the part where the air enters? It looks smaller than the tubing.

I don't think I'd be cutting into that. It's designed to fit the factory air inlet in the grill.

I have the airaid intake and It draws air from the same place as the factory box. I like it because it shields the filter from all the heat from the motor and it looks very nice.
