At the recommendation of another s550 owner, I order a pcv valve for an Ecoboost Truck from Tasca to install on the passenger side. I am planning to install this and continue to run my JLT catch can, which will hopefully eliminate almost all of the oil making it into the intake (the JLT alone wasn't cutting it).

Any downsides to swapping this part? Do any of you have experience with this change?

Thanks,
Tyler

No experience with that, but have you considered a better catch can? ie. Bob's, or UPR?

Thanks, PoppaCap. I have considered switching to the UPR, but I have decided against it for several reasons.

1. I am tired of spending money. LOL (the pcv valve cost me $7);

2. The representative at UPR I spoke with was not confident about where/how to mount there new can on a car with a TVS; and

3. The line running to the back of the blower would need to be capped, and I do not have anything readily available to use to cap it. I'm sure this could be solved easily enough, but I am at the point of just wanting to drive/enjoy the car without fooling with it (at least for a little while).

I'm sorry you felt that way with talking to one of us. I can ensure you that a catch can for a TVS car is under way as we speak. The biggest thing we want to make sure is that is has aa good mounting location. If you want, you can shoot me a call and I can explain it to you. The ecoboost pcv will not hold back as much as you think. The trucks are filling up our mega catch cans in 3000miles. (that's almost 20ounces)

Hope to hear from you soon. 561-588-6630

Thanks, Steve. If you are able to sell me a can that can completely replace my current setup, including something to put in the hose leading back to the rear of the blower to block it off (thereby preventing me from having to actually put a cap on the nozzle behind the blower - which requires me to take the blower all the way off again), I would pay you right now.

I'm just tired of fooling with this thing right now. (I know, I know, that's "part of modding a car").

I greatly appreciate your offer to explain the development to me. I certainly did not intend for my previous remarks to come across as a criticism, just an explanation of why I am looking at other avenues.

we do have one that is more of a basic style but again we run into a mounting problem. We are going to be offering a system that will mount the can next to the radiator like your single check valve NA 15 system with a CSS for the driver side to intake.

The best way is to cap off the bottom of the blower though.

Okay. Will you let me know when that product is developed? (put me on a waiting list, etc.?)
