Before I talk about this, I would like to say the UPR single valve oil Seperator works great. The only complaint was that it did not come with instructions. It seemed easy enough and it was.. The problem I ran into was after the install. I had a extra vacuum line. The kit came with a vacuum plug, so I figured it was for that.. About two days into driving it my car started having problems. It would spark knock once at start up and would spit and sputter when you would ease into the throttle.... If you drove normal it would drive fine.. It only did it when you gave it around half throttle..
To make a long story short.. I traced my steps to when it started and it led me to my last mod, it was my UPR seperator.. I looked it over and everything looked right.. The only thing was a plugged off vacuum line.. I bought a split tee and hooked it in and the car runs fine.. Can someone tell me what that vacuum hose goes to.. Is it a PCV valve? In the picture below you can see it going to the back of the motor from my JLT OIL SEPERATOR.. It is the middle of the line.
