Upshifts in boost automatic

Question for anyone and everyone with an 6 speed auto gt mustang and a blower on it.

When you guys upshift in boost but lower rpm say 3-5k. Does you car upshift with like say a major power reduction or power lose to upshift that is super annoying. If that makes sense to anyone.

When my car upshifts out of boost it’s perfect.

When my car upshifts at wot. It’s perfect.

But when I’m in boost and shift at lower rpm it’s weird to me maybe it normal for a blower?

Example. If I go 1/2 to WOT and get into boost when the car upshifts or i hit the paddle to upshift around 3-5k vice WOT shift it’s like it loses power for the shift and just feels weird. Is this normal for a car with a blower or a tune issue with the torque reduction to upshift?

My livershat tune did it really bad, my palm beach Dyno tune is not as bad but does the same thing.

Never had a blower on an auto before.

So youre saying that going 1/2 throttle up to 4000rpm then upshift and end up in next gear at 2500 you really dont have power there? Not even with the mighty maggie? Well shit, I figured low end is what it did best.

Naw there is lots of power 500 tq starts 2k or 2.5k when boost kicks in. It’s just upshifts funny. Feels like power goes away majorly for a second to upshift. Guess it’s hard to explain. Just wondering if anyone with a whipple roush edelbrock turbos etc with an auto how your car upshifts In lower rpm in boost. Trying to find out if this is a tune issue or just life with a supercharger never had one before

Thats something a shop,tuner or another knowledgeable member would have to be with you in the car while you do it. Another way would be logging the occurrence 1 or 2 times and sending it to your tuner.

Likely the shift prediction logic softening up to not tear up the trans is set a little high. Similar to the torque reduction down way low.

If u have 315 gears that is normal,these cars upshift to 3rd gear so fast that u could be doing 25 to 30 mph and in 3rd gear.u can put it in sport mode when city driving and it will hold each gear a little longer.

I have a Procharged 2018 a10 that was doing something similar but only when in "S" mode on the gear selector. Before the up shift the rmps would drop and sound like a slight miss or backfire then it would change gears. After a couple revisions of the tune its gone. I never had the issue in "D" and was told it had something to do with torque reduction in the tune.

I have 3.55 but yeah it more so if I Manuel upshift the car before it wants to. I should be able to gun it and be in second gear and upshift at 4K vice redline and not have an upshifts issue. Unless that just life with a blower but makes no sense it shifts fine at WOT with no upshifts tq reduction issues.

It does it in d or s mode or any drive mode s track etc. but only when I Manually upshift to the next gear before redline. Don’t matter if it at 3k to 6k. It’s weird man and annoying. Prob best to log it for tuner an be like wtf man
