3.73 Gears in an Automatic

3.73 is way too much for a blower car, going to spin down low and run out of gear up top. I'd go with the smallest/lowest possible, since you have the cast iron diff the smallest you can go is a 3.31, 3.55's would be fine too but you'll run out of gear much faster if you like doing any kind of roll racing or hwy pulls. I go 9's on a 3.15, 20" tire, but installing 3.31's/cast iron diff/Wavetrac this week.

Whats your 60' on those 20" rims? I assume you must spin a ton off the line, but do you spin at all at the top of first or second gear?

373 is not to much for a blower car!!!.It depends on your setup
kcc0521 ran a paxton with a 3.48 pulley and 3c convertor and was running .9.3 with a 3.7 60 foot time.My opnion is once u get over 900 whp then u need to go with 331 or 315 gears.His car 60 foots better then mine with 315 gears and runs faster in the quarter,with close to same stall speed and rwhp.
