So apparently, some company has already started giving solutions for aftermarket head units for the Mustang 6G.

In my view, it looks close to OEM, and can be considered if the price is right.

I dont know about the price as I just stumbled over this youtube video.

Looks promising @

If this is legit sign me up NOW!!! If it looks that good and still retains all functionality with sync and steering controls as well as adding navigation I can see a line of V6 owners around the block waiting to get this installed.

It is legit the cost is $1500, the company is based overseas. I talked back and forth to them for several days. There is a thread here where I put more info of our discussion there.

Noticed that too, maybe they hadn't finished the final install?

Cool idea though. Just might need a better fab shop to finish that up lol.

Just curious, I haven't picked up my car yet. (Buying towards September/October)So I don't have one to actually physically look at.

But why can't you just swap the premium into the base? The plugs look the same on the back of the housings. Plus it'd be cheaper and allow for Ford updates.

Yes, I've searched but everyone seems to be looking at aftermarket options.

From reading the other thread the harness is not there for the difference in headsets.

For $1500 this needs have a better built-in amplifier and/or offer a much better range of EQ controls...otherwise it's just a $1500 navigation screen. I'm interested in getting more volume and clarity out of the base stereo...the larger screen and nav are just a bonus.
