Is driving above the limited speed (after unlocking it using SCT tuner) harmful in any way to the engine or the car in general?

I think the only concern would be the driveshaft or tires. I have Y rated goodyear tires so they arent a concern for me, I am still kind of weary about the driveshaft as it is a 2-piece draft-shaft but it is the same part number as the GT's and they are limited to a speed of ~150mph.

I removed my speed limiter of 121mph and ran into another speed limiter at 135mph, not sure why either

The main reason why it is there is the tires. There are few threads on this, there is an EB guy on this forum in Germany (GlennG) who takes his car with the stock driveshaft on the autobahn and doesn't have an issue.

If you plan on going that fast get some wider wheels and tires with summer compound.

Mine came with the 51A Premium 18" Foundry wheels and Goodyear F1 Eagles with a "W" 168 mph rating.

You should be okay though be very weary of that stock driveshaft. The dealership tells me the previous issues have been fixed but I dont really believe that. However with that being said I have also had mine up to 130 with the stock shaft and no issues. I went ahead and ordered a one piece aluminum from shaftmasters though to replace it. I had it installed for several weeks and had it up to 150 with that and it was smooth as glass. Though I ran into the common issue then of the flywheel failing (typical of the 3.7l for some reason) and removed it back to the stock one at that point. The flywheels are a known issue and was not caused by the shaft however. Hope I could add some insight. Just a reminder though that if you do ever get the one piece invest in a safety loop. I am going to get the blowfish one before I put the one piece back in that way it will have a safety loop and a better stronger bushing to help eliminate that cold missed shift or grinding.

Did you ever figure out how to unlock the second limiter?

your flywheel broke too? had mine replaced at 5600mi, and now at 9500mi, I could tell it was starting to brak again. put a stock GT flywheel/clutch in. works great! but now its getting a A.C.T. billet flywheel and clutch for free, they are using my car to test fit their setup for the older 3.7... woooooot! i'll be seeling the GT setup here real soon.

ive had my car to 120-125 a few times, and smooth as glass. I had a 05 GT (similar drive shaft) up to 150 a couple times, and it was butter smooth. had my 95gt to about 140 once and it was not so butter smooth lol

Interesting I had mine gps confirmed at 145. Initially i ran into two limiters which i told Torrie about and i asked him if he could entirely remove it and he said he would look into it and within a day he had it off and sent me a new file and i can now adjust it to what i want on the sct parameters

I'll email again once I datalog. Since my last tube updates, I removed the resonator and put an x-pipe in its place.

I'l ask him about removing the limiters set in place as well.
